Will it actually stay on, or slide off after five minutes?

It stays on. The skull hood and the spine piece secure separately rather than as one loose sheet, which is what stops it rotating off the shoulders the moment your dog shakes. That said, no costume survives a determined wrestling match with another dog — this is a costume, not equipment.

Can my dog see and breathe properly in it?

Yes. The skull is a hood, not a mask. Eyes, nose, mouth and ears are completely clear — your dog can see in every direction, pant freely, drink, sniff and bark exactly as normal. Nothing covers the face.

Will my dog actually tolerate wearing it?

Most dogs settle into it quickly because it is soft brushed fabric rather than rigid plastic, and because nothing covers their face. The honest answer is that it depends on your dog. Put it on for a few minutes at home with treats before the big night rather than introducing it for the first time in a crowd. And if your dog genuinely hates it, take it off — and take us up on the guarantee.

Should my dog wear it unsupervised?

No. No pet costume should be worn unsupervised, ours included. Take it off before crating, before bed, and any time you leave the room for a while.

Will it arrive before Halloween?

Order by October 10 and you have a comfortable buffer. We would rather give you a conservative date you can plan around than an optimistic one that leaves you refreshing a tracking page on the 30th. After October 10 we will keep shipping, but we will stop promising Halloween delivery.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are prepared within 1–3 business days, then typically arrive within 5–11 business days. Most orders land inside that window. Some take longer — that is the truth of it, and it is exactly why we set the cutoff three weeks before Halloween rather than one.

What if the size is wrong?

Tell us within 30 days and we will make it right — exchange for the other size or a refund, your choice. Read the size guide first though; it will save you the wait.

How do I wash it?

Hand wash cool, reshape the skull while it is still damp, and air dry. Do not tumble dry — heat softens the structure that holds the skull's shape. Stored flat, it will be ready to go again next October.

Does it fit cats?

The Small fits most large cats. Whether your cat consents to wearing it is between you and your cat.

Where is my order?

How do I reach a human?

Email us. A person reads every message and replies within one business day — usually much faster.
